32 Bit Compatibility
When installing on 64 Bit Ubuntu, you may get a 'file not found' error when trying to execute either piece of software. This cryptic message does not indicate that the executable doesn't exist -- instead it indicates that the 32 Bit libraries cannot be found. To solve this, you must install the 32 Bit compatibility libraries with the following command.
% apt-get install ia32-libs
The version of Motif required by both pieces of software is v3.x, but the newer versions of Ubuntu only have packages for v4.x. You must get the 32 Bit version of Motif from the Ubuntu Package Site. Note that the version linked to is from the Maverick (10.10) distribution of Ubuntu. Once you have downloaded the correct dpkg file, it must be extracted and copied into place, as installation will not work properly. Use the following procedure.
% dpkg -x ./*.dpkg .
% cd usr/lib/
% sudo cp ./libXm.so.3 /usr/lib

Once this is complete, you should be able to check that the system can resolve all necessary libraries using the following command:
% ldd /opt/cms/XIMAGE/bin/ximage
The 75dpi xfonts must be installed as well. This is a standard package on newer releases of Ubuntu, thus it can be installed using the package management:
% sudo apt-get install xfonts-75dpi
